The Mexican Government has already launched the ConsuApp Contigo application to help and assist Mexicans in the event of deportations in the US.

The Mexican government has already made available for download on Android and iOS devices the ConsulApp Contigo application, which includes an alert button to contact the nearest consulates in case of a detention by immigration authorities.

In addition, the extension has this alert button launches an alert to family members or contacts of people close to you, which you have previously entered.

Chancellor Juan Ramon de la Fuente has said that it is very important that you download it so that, in case of a detention situation, you can use the alert button.

Remember that Mexican authorities have said that the main objective of the ConsulApp Contigo is to facilitate emergency contact to receive support from the nearest consulate when a person is at risk of imminent detention and possible deportation.

Juan Ramon de la Fuente also indicates that the App contains information on the rights that people have in case of detention by immigration authorities.

In order to download the application you must enter the mobile application stores, once on your phone you must open an account with your Curp, which is a unique population registration code, or with your passport number, with your consular registration or by entering your data such as name, last name, phone number, address and email.

Having your account and password, it is necessary to add the data of contacts you want to be alerted in case of deportation or detention.

To activate the PA alert button, it is necessary to press the button for five seconds to avoid that by mistake or accident an alert is triggered by inadvertently touching the button.

Foreign Minister Juan Ramon de la Fuente, said that there is also the consular network that already has a team of lawyers to support Mexican nationals in the US.

The Mexican official reiterated to the countrymen “that they are not alone”.

In addition to the ConsulApp Contigo application, the 24-hour Information and Assistance Centers for Mexican Nationals (CIAM) and call centers in the United States and Canada at 520 623 7874 are also available.
