Challenging the Tariffs. 

Gavin Newsom is taking Trump to court over the tariffs war. California’s governor says Trump does not have the authority to unilaterally impose such a huge tax hike and California stands to lose more than any other state. In related news, a group of US businesses filed a lawsuit arguing that Trump’s tariffs are harming them and are illegal under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

Millions May Lose Housing Aid. The White House is planning massive cuts to federal housing programs, putting at risk rental assistance funds for millions and losing their homes for other millions. Among the targeted housing funds are those known as Section 8, that help low income people pay the costs of apartments or residences.
