Environmentalists are celebrating as a historic milestone the taking effect of the U.N. Global Ocean Treaty. The agreement expands marine protection and creates ocean sanctuaries to help mitigate the climate crisis and safeguard food security for billions of people. Mexican organizers discuss their efforts to pressure governments to establish new marine protected areas. These and other news are part of this program.
