OBAMA AND MCCAIN IN LULAC. Courting the growing Latino vote, Presidential candidates Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain appear before hundreds of Latino leaders from across the country at the annual convention of LULAC, the nation's oldest Latino advocacy group.  Leaders of the organization are being invited to comment on the candidates' speeches and on LULAC's national drive to bring 100,000 new Latino voters to the polls in November and play a larger role in closely contested states.
