Radio Bilingue, the national Latino public radio network, celebrates its 25th anniversary by broadcasting live from the gathering of some of the finest traditional Latino musicians at the nation's capitol. Audiences worldwide do not have the opportunity to travel to Washington, DC, may now enjoy the sounds and dance the rhythms of the Nuestra Musica folk festival via radio and Internet.

Held on the eve of the Fourt of July, the six-day festival shows how Latinos use music to build community, reinvigorate their spirit and assert their presence in this society. Musicians from throughout the U.S. also show how sones, plenas and merengues are lively rooted in the nation's communities and cultural heritage.
