MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1.

STATE OF THE UNION - IMMIGRANT HEALTH REFORM: A REPEAT. An overview about President Obama's statements on health care in his State of the Union address. Under proposed health reform legislation, undocumented immigrants are being banned from purchasing health coverage in the insurance exchange market. In addition, legal resident immigrants are barred from enrolling in Medicaid during their first five years in the U.S. This program focuses on how immigration reform could change health care reform. This program also discusses the provisions in the current health care proposals that would expand health coverage to millions of uninsured Latinos.

Live from Capitol Hill, Samuel Orozco and Chelis López speak with a auto worker from the NUMMI plant which is about to close, as well as with national leaders about the possibilities for immigration reform this year, and the importance of Latinos being counted in the 2010 Census, in order to receive more public benefits.

THE RAID IN POSTVILLE: A REPEAT. Twenty months ago, Postville, Iowa was the scene of the largest immigration raid in U.S. history. The federal raid against Agriprocessors meat plant resulted in the arrest of nearly 400 workers, a company in bankruptcy, separated immigrant families, a crippled local economy and a city government in financial trouble. In a roundtable, a filmmaker, human rights advocates, detained immigrants, and Postville residents revisit the immigration trial and the outlook for the town.

MIGRANTS DEMAND RECOGNITION. Migrants from the Mexican state of Jalisco have signed a declaration, calling for recognition by the state constitution, the right to vote for municipal and state officials, representation in the state legislature, and the creation of a state migrant institute. This edition is a simultaneous broadcast with the three-station network of the Sistema Jalisciense de Radio y Televisión in Guadalajara, Mexico.
