National March Against Arpaio; Native American Flute Keeps Playing in California.

NATIONAL MARCH AGAINST ARPAIO - Thousands of protesters marched through the streets of Phoenix, the capital of Arizona, to demand that Sheriff Joe Arpaio stop his policies of rounding up immigrant workers. Immigrant families went out in the street, together with politicians and local leaders, as well as students and activist from more than eight states in the country. Valeria Fernández has the story.

NATIVE AMERICAN FLUTE KEEPS PLAYING IN CALIFORNIA – Artists of the Native American Diaspora, living in California’s Central Valley, try hard to pass on their cultural traditions to new generations. Lance Canales is of Yaqui, Cora, and Mayan descent. He travels around the area, interpreting music on a traditional flute. We spoke with him at a recent Pow Wow.
