Obama Accepts Democratic Presidential Nomination, Democratic Delegates Seek Latino Vote, and Immigrant Rights March in Denver.

OBAMA ACCEPTS DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION – Barack Obama makes history as the first African-American nominated for the presidency by one of the two main political parties in the United States. In an acceptance speech that emulated famous speeches by Martin Luther King, Jr. and John F. Kennedy, the Democratic candidate gave more details of his political platform. Zaidee Stavely watched the speech and has this report from the Invesco Stadium in Denver, Colorado, where Obama accepted the presidential nomination of his party.

DEMOCRATIC DELEGATES SEEK LATINO VOTE - The Democratic party concludes their national convention, ready to seek out the Latino vote. According to delegates at the convention in Denver, this will be key for the triumph of Barack Obama in November. Latino voters will be especially important in so called “undecided”, or “swing” states, where Latinos make up a large percentage of the voter population. Roxana Garcia reports from Denver.

IMMIGRANT RIGHTS MARCH IN DENVER - Fair immigration reform, a stop to raids, and rights for undocumented youth were the main issues of a protest that took place in Denver near the headquarters of the Democratic National Convention this Thursday, the last day of the convention. Tania Unzueta was there.
