Democrats are trying to stand behind Obama and begin to look toward November’s general election. But the New York senator insists she will not step out of the race. LOWER COSTS FOR SENDING REMITTANCES - More than one hundred organizations from 22 countries in Africa, Asia, and the Americas formalized a world organization of remittance senders this week. The objective is to demand that money-transfer companies charge lower fees and invest more in social projects in the communities of origin of senders. The event was supported by the Mexico City government, and included the participation of rural communities impoverished by migration. Our correspondent Ruben Tapia was there.

180 YEARS OF SAN MARCOS FAIR - In the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico, the traditional Feria de San Marcos ends this weekend. This year, the festival turns 180 years old. The fair appears to be transforming from a folk festival into an international tourism event. With millions of visitors every year, San Marcos is a social phenomenon that mixes folk culture with influences from Las Vegas, Disneyland, Acapulco, and the underground world of drug trafficking.
