HILLARY CLINTON STAYS IN THE RACE – Senator Hillary Clinton says she will continue in the presidential race, despite pressure from several Democrats for her to step down and clear the way for her rival Senator Barack Obama. PLAN TO EXPAND TOXIC WASTE LANDFILL RETURNS – The largest disposal company in the United States, Chemical Waste Management, returns with plans to expand its toxic waste landfill in Kettleman City, California. Once before, public pressure organized by leaders of this farm-working town managed to upset similar plans, accusing the company of environmental racism. This time, the company’s marketing team takes matters into its own hands and attempts to dissipate strong local opposition. Our environmental reporter Zaidee Stavely attended a community picnic organized by the company.

"BANDANA PROJECT" – One of the main problems that working women confront is sexual harassment. Farm working women rarely denounce this problem. For this reason, organizations from different regions of the country have joined the “Bandana Project” so that women can express how they face sexual aggression in the field through drawings on bandanas.
