La Placita Bilingüe

La Placita Bilingüe, a weekly live call-in program in Spanish, recreates an imaginary town plaza on the airwaves of Radio Bilingüe in California and on the worldwide net every Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Immigrant parents and professionals are invited to share their expertise on a wide range of parenting topics. Recognizing the strength of cultural values and traditions, the program serves as a bridge for immigrant parents who need first-hand information about new systems in this country.

Hosted by parents, La Placita Bilingüe is produced at KHDC 90.9 FM in Salinas, California in coordination with KSJV 91.5 FM in Fresno. By linking parents with services provided by local agencies, Radio Bilingüe carries out its mission of using radio to empower individuals within the Spanish-speaking community.
