RADIO BILINGUE AIRS LIVE INTERVIEW WITH VICE PRESIDENT GORE

Radio Bilingüe will air a live interview with Vice President Al Gore on Sunday, November 5, at 10:30 PST, as part of the special series Elecciones 2000. The exclusive interview with Vice President Gore will be conducted by Samuel Orozco, founding executive producer of Radio Bilingue's network news services. Education, health insurance, immigration and other issues of primary interest to Latino audiences will be addressed during the radio conversation.

More than 7.7 million Latino voters are currently registered and a record 5-to-6 million are expected to vote. Located in high-stakes areas, including California, Texas and Illinois, the. Latino vote is widely expected to be crucial in Tuesday's close decision.

Spanish-language voice-over segments of the interview with Mr. Gore will also air on Monday and Tuesday on Línea Abierta, the only national Spanish-language news and talk program in public radio. Línea Abierta will provide an extended four-hour edition on the eve of Election Day and a five-hour special edition will follow on Election Day.
