They rely on community health promoters, patients ombudsmen, and other services to educate Spanish-speaking consumers.

WOMEN FROM CIUDAD JUAREZ. Three more women have been found dead near the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juárez. During the past ten years, about 300 women have been murdered in this area. Invited by judge Baltazar Garzón, a local advocate visited Spain in an effort to find international support for a federal probe and recognition of this case as a crime against humanity.

ALSO, BRACERO LAWSUIT. A lawsuit by veteran Mexican Bracero workers is proceeding against the U.S. government while plaintiffs consider appealing a recent federal court ruling to dismiss the case against the Mexican government. This is an update on this case and community efforts to recover savings funds deducted from wages of Bracero workers during WWII, including a current drive to register potential beneficiaries in Mexico and the U.S.
