NEW FUNDING SUPPORT FOR LEADING SPANISH-LANGUAGE RADIO NEWS SERVICE
Fresno, CA. Noticiero Latino, the first and only network news service in Spanish public radio, begins the year with plans for yet another round of news coverage of the congressional debates on immigration reform. This year, news correspondents in Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Diego and other major cities will continue providing leading reportorial coverage in the following areas:
This ongoing news coverage is possible thanks in part to a grant awarded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a private, non-profit corporation created by Congress, and the largest single source of funding for programming development in public broadcasting.
Noticiero Latino is a production of Radio Bilingüe, the Latino public radio network. With main offices in Fresno and San Francisco, Radio Bilingüe owns six stations in California and through its satellite service Satélite Radio Bilingüe, the network distributes programming to more than 90 stations throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and Mexico. The organization also provides a live audio stream online, at www.radiobilingue.org.
