Radio Bilingüe airs and webcasts full coverage on Mexico’s presidential election
San Francisco, CA. Radio
Bilingüe will broadcast a series of special programs to provide in-depth
news coverage of Mexico’s presidential election.
Mexican voters go to the polls on Sunday, July 2 to elect president. The elections
take place on the heels of unprecedented Latino marches in the U.S. and after
Mexicans living abroad were granted the right to vote in presidential elections.
Will the vote and influence of the millions of Mexican émigrés
and migrant civil society be a factor in this election?
Radio Bilingüe will air a combined total of 16 hours of live coverage,
including nine hours of non-stop news broadcast on election day. The following
is the programming schedule (on Pacific Daylight Time):
Wednesday, June 28, 12 – 1 PM. Campaign final day.
Thursday, June 29, 12 – 2 PM. Pre-election news and analysis.
Friday, June 30, 12 – 2 PM. Pre-election news and analysis.
Sunday, July 2, 12:00 – 9 PM. Election-day news.

These programs are produced in collaboration with partnering public stations

in Ciudad Acuña, and Radio Tecnológico in Tijuana.
Línea Abierta is heard on 56 stations and is the first and only Spanish-language
talk show in the U.S. public radio system. The eleven-year-old program is
a production of Radio Bilingüe, the Latino public radio network with
main offices in Fresno and San Francisco. Through Satélite Radio Bilingüe,
the non-profit organization distributes news, information and musical programming
to affiliates throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and Mexico. Radio Bilingüe
