This is a live, gavel-to-gavel coverage in Spanish of the four-day Democratic National Convention in Boston. This series of programs will air the voices of party officials, politicians, community activists, and scholars to comment on issues of top concern such as job security, health care, public education, immigration reform, and the war in Iraq. With this endeavor, Radio Bilingüe recognizes that many key issues are at stake in the 2004 election and the fast-growing Latino electorate is positioned to play a critical role on Election Day. This project marks the 20th anniversary of Radio Bilingüe’s first live, bilingual nationally-distributed broadcast of the national presidential conventions.
